A Peek Inside Allison’s Pantry

A Peek Inside Allison’s Pantry

Welcome to the most used room in my home!

I recently restocked everyone’s favorite space and thought I’d share how I organize and keep these shelves full. While I’ve read every one of these ingredient lists, at this point I don’t even have to think “what xyz should I buy?” “Does this have inflammatory oils?” or “are there excitotoxins in this?” because I have my go-to foods that have been vetted and I know are safe for my family.

So, here's a glimpse into my pantry, the cornerstone of our health-conscious kitchen!

Breaking Down The Sections

The "Grab and Go" Area

Life gets hectic, especially in the mornings or when the kids are hungry for a snack. That's why I've dedicated a special section in my pantry for "grab and go" items. Here, you'll find an assortment of nut butters, nuts, and chips—all selected for being free from inflammatory oils. This section is a lifesaver, making sure that when hunger strikes, healthy options are always within reach.

Conscious Carb Choices

Pasta isn’t a huge part of our diet, but it’s a great base and I choose ones that offer more nutrition than others. And the glass jars are not just for aesthetics! I love being able to see exactly how much we have left, and they help keep our cereals from brands like LoveBird and One Degree fresh and ready. These brands are known for their commitment to quality and absence of harmful additives…unlike most cereals!

A Transparent Approach to Ingredients

Every item in my pantry has been chosen with care, especially our condiments and coffee. I prioritize  products free from excitotoxins, additives, or natural flavorings, and I prefer tomatoes stored in glass jars for purity and taste. Our selection from Eden Organics is a testament to our avoidance of BPS, BPA, or BPF.

The Baking Corner: A Place of Creativity and Health

Baking is a passion of mine, and my baking section reflects both creativity and health. The flours are stored in glass jars, keeping them fresh and making it easy for me to know when it's time to restock. Sustainable palm oil, the Supernatural brand and refined sugar free options ensure that our baked goods are as healthy and clean as possible. Baking usually isn’t perfect, but we do our best!

Embracing Sustainability in Every Choice

Sustainability is a big part of how I stock my pantry. From sustainably-sourced palm oil to the emphasis on glass over plastic, every choice is deliberate. I stock up on protein powders during sales and keep a backstock of healthy oils and ingredients, always mindful of our impact on the planet.
